For this week's topic, we have Tone, Mood, Technique, and Purpose. Tone refers to the author's perspective on a subject, character, or audience. It is accomplished by the use of diction, sentence structure, and word choice. Order (syntax), character's point of view, imagery, metaphorical language, and other elements are all important. To put it another way, tone refers to how the author feels about his subject, character, or setting. And Mood describes the feeling that a reader has when reading a scene or a novel. The atmosphere (the vibe) of a scene or tale is more important than the reader's feelings. Happiness, despair, gloom, rage, distrust, loneliness, or even enthusiasm are all possibilities. The third is Technique, which is a writing style that allows an author to effectively and meaningfully communicate their message to their audience. It differs from one author to the next and is determined by the author's syntax, word choice, and tone. Lastly is Purpose, is the primary motivation for writing. The first is to inform, which usually involves presenting facts or explaining something, such as in a textbook or a news report. The second is to persuade, which usually involves arguing a point or attempting to persuade, such as in an editorial or commercial. The third function is to entertain, which is usually accomplished through the use of a poem, a humorous essay, or a short narrative.
I learned that the tone is the attitude of the narrator or viewpoint character toward story events and other characters. It is achieved through the word. Mood Is what the reader feels while reading the scene or story. It is not the reader’s emotions, but the atmosphere (the vibe)of a scene or story. It is what the reader reads or feels or notices. The purpose is the reason the author writes about a topic. This week's highlight is the tone, mood, technique, and purpose of the author.

In the morning, a little girl was playing in the park. She found something in the bush and it was a picture, she was mesmerized by the picture and decided to keep it. Days passed by she forgot about the picture until she became an adult and married. Her husband found the picture in her wallet and decided to ask her wife about it. "Who is the little boy in the photo?" her husband asked. "It was my First Love" his wife answered, her husband suddenly smiled and said, "I lost this picture when I was nine years old".
